My Guardian
Angel
Everyone has a Guardian Angel
this I know is true.
My Angel came into my life
during the time my marriage was through.
I had to go to work to earn a meager earning
I wanted to make a better life than we had been living.
God saw my struggle from afar,
He sent my Angel while I was working in a bar.
This Angel had been divorced for many years
and lived the bachelor's life.
He met my kids and they captured him,
He knew what he wanted to do.
He told me he wanted to give them a chance
(he would even take me, too)
So just a year from when we met
we said our vows, and moved away.
We've had our share of ups and downs but
we have been grateful for that first date.
For if we hadn't gone that way,
we wouldn't be as happy as we are today.
I thank the Lord, every day,
for sending His sweetest Angel my way.
