Bobby and Joey and their mother so sweet
all lived together on Blackstone Street.

Bobby at six and Joey at four
had never roller skated before.

Then one day Grandpa took them down
so they might learn to skate around.

They both did better after a spill or two,
their little bottoms got black and blue.

But they didn't give up, they kept right on going,
once in a while Bobby did the towing.

Joey told Bobby he could do it alone
and you know,
he did before they went home.
