Spring Flowers

Life is like the seasons
and a painted mural on the wall,
when warmed by summer's sunshine
and the colors of the fall.

When the winter pierces
with its mighty cold sting
it gives a brighter vision
of the flowers in the spring.

If in the winter season
there seems to be some doubt,
close your eyes for just a moment
and let your mind look about.

You can see the many robins
in the oak that stands so tall,
and feel an autumn breeze
or hear the crickets of the fall.

You will then begin to realize
that the winter's passing by
and all of spring's flowers
are soon to catch your eye.
